The Daily Beast:
"President Donald Trump has been forced to confront concerns about his mental health after issuing a profanity-laced Easter tirade against Iran over the weekend.

In a high-stakes press conference on Monday, Trump outlined the dramatic rescue of a U.S. pilot downed inside Iran, as well as the rapidly escalating war that has entered its fifth week.

But questions turned to his expletive-filled rant on Sunday, which has raised serious concerns about his mindset.

'Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F----n’ Strait, you crazy b-----ds, or you’ll be living in Hell - JUST WATCH!' he wrote."

--The NYT didn't speculate about the sanity of our President, despite the fact that members of his own party have. Is this the NYT protecting the image of our government, despite how erratic and just plain crazy he has been.

Common Dreams:
"Univ. of Washington Removes Mideast Center Director Who Criticized US-Israeli War on Iran.

'There’s a chilling effect on not just my academic freedom, but that of my colleagues; anyone who dares to speak out against the war and against aggression,' said UW professor Aria Fani.

The University of Washington has removed a professor from his role as director of its Middle East Center after he criticized the illegal US-Israeli war of choice on Iran and condemned Zionism, the settler-colonial movement for Jewish hegemony in Palestine.

There’s a chilling effect on not just my academic freedom, but that of my colleagues; anyone who dares to speak out against the war and against aggression,' he said."

-->People are losing their jobs just like the McCarthy Era. Where is the NYT?

Common Dreams:
"Trump ‘Openly Flaunting His War Crimes’ as US Bombs Iran’s Civilian Infrastructure .

'The president of the United States would like everyone to know that he is acting with criminal intent, in case there was any ambiguity,' a US law professor said of his social media post with bridge bombing footage.

After pledging in a prime-time address that the United States and Israel would bomb Iran 'back to the Stone Ages where they belong,' President Donald Trump on Thursday shared a video of the US blowing up an Iranian bridge and promised, 'Much more to follow!' "

-->This is another story that the NYT did not cover. Is this just protecting the image of the United States in the rest of the world? And what image would that be?

Common Dreams:
"WASHINGTON - The Environmental Protection Agency has routinely failed to put cancer warnings on pesticide products even when its own assessments have found a high risk of those products causing cancer, according to two new analyses released today by the Center for Food Safety and the Center for Biological Diversity. The Center for Food Safety analyzed the level of risk the EPA permitted for both currently approved and legacy pesticide active ingredients. The analysis found that pesticides have been allowed on the market with a cancer risk as high as one in every 100 people exposed, a far greater level than the EPA’s benchmark of a one in a million chance of developing cancer. Over the last 40 years, the EPA has approved 200 active ingredients that are 'likely' or 'possible' carcinogens.

The Center for Biological Diversity analysis examined pesticide product labels for all currently approved pesticide products. The EPA has instituted cancer warnings on only 69 of 4,919 pesticide labels (1.4%) containing an active ingredient that the agency has designated a 'likely' human carcinogen. And the agency has instituted cancer warnings on just 242 of the 22,147 pesticide labels (1.1%) that contain an ingredient the agency has designated as a 'possible' human carcinogen."

-->The NYT doesn't like to upset the chemical companies. I am sure the newspaper will report on this EPA failure at some time. But why not today or this week?

Common Dreams:
"Soldiers in the Israel Defense Forces on Friday were caught on camera assaulting and detaining a crew of CNN journalists while they were reporting from the occupied West Bank.

A video of the incident posted on social media by CNN Jerusalem correspondent Jeremy Diamond shows the CNN crew walking near the Palestinian village of Tayasir, which in recent days has come under assault from Israeli settlers who established an illegal outpost in the area.

The crew are then accosted by armed members of the IDF, who order them to sit down. After the crew complies with their commands, the soldiers come to seize the journalists’ cameras and phones that are being used to record the incident.

A soldier then puts CNN photojournalist Cyril Theophilos in a chokehold and forces him to the ground. Writing about the assault later, Theophilos said that the soldier 'pushed and strangled me,' adding that this kind of violence 'is just a symptom of the IDF’s actions in the West Bank.' ”

-->The NYT is still filtering out stories like this. Ethnic cleansing is happening in the West Bank, but where is our newspaper of record?

Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign Action Group:
"Nicaragua ranks among the top 25 countries worldwide with roughly 70–80% of its power now generated from renewable sources. The first thing you notice when you drive over the border from Costa Rica are the towering turbines spinning steadily against the Pacific horizon, their blades cutting through the strong coastal winds in the Rivas region.

These iconic structures, part of the Amayo wind farm—one of Nicaragua’s pioneering renewable projects—are a striking welcome sign to a country that has undergone a remarkable transformation in its energy landscape.

Nicaragua, long reliant on imported fossil fuels for electricity, has aggressively shifted toward renewables over the past two decades. In the early 2000s, the nation depended heavily on oil-fired generation, but strategic policies, private investments, and abundant natural resources have driven a rapid increase in clean energy supply.
By 2025, the country had achieved impressive milestones, with renewable sources consistently powering a majority—and often exceeding 70-80%—of its electricity grid in recent years."

-->What are the chances that the NYT will cover this story? Our national media follows suit. Nothing good about Nicaragua will ever be publicized in the empire's newspaper.
