 Common Dreams:
“The American public is demanding decisive action to end US complicity in the Israeli government’s war crimes by stopping the flow of weapons to Israel. Jewish Voice for Peace Action on Friday led a coalition of groups demanding that the Democratic Party stop providing arms to the Israeli government.

Speaking outside the Democratic National Committee’s Winter Meeting in Los Angeles, Jewish Voice for Peace Action (JVP Action) held a press conference calling on Democrats to oppose all future weapons shipments to Israel, whose years-long assault on Gaza has, according to one estimate, killed more than 100,000 Palestinian people.

While carrying banners that read, 'Stop Arming Israel,' speakers at the press conference also called on Democrats to reject money from the American Israeli Political Action Committee (AIPAC), which has consistently funded primary challenges against left-wing critics of Israel."

-->Why does the NYT avoid printing stories like this? Probably because the newspaper is beholding to the billionaire class that continues supporting Israel.

The Guardian:
"Malnutrition continues to take a toll among Gaza’s young despite a ceasefire declared two months ago, with more than 9,000 children treated for acute malnutrition in October alone, according to the latest UN figures.

While the immediate threat of famine has receded for most of the 2.2 million Palestinians in Gaza after the ceasefire announcement on 10 October, the UN and other aid agencies report continuing Israeli restrictions on their humanitarian aid shipments, which they say fall well below the needs of a population weakened and traumatised by two years of war, homelessness and living in flimsy shelters. ...

An average of 140 aid trucks a day have crossed so far in December, in convoys organised by the UN and the International Organisation for Migration. That is well below the target of 600 trucks a day set as part of the ceasefire."

-->Another story gets left out of our mainstream media. Nine thousand suffer acute malnutrition, but still the NYT doesn't print these crimes against humanity.

Common Dreams:
"Among the clearest voices cutting through the rhetoric is professor John Mearsheimer, perhaps the most prominent American realist in international relations. He does not mince words: Venezuela is not a threat to the United States. Its military lacks both the capacity and the intention to project power beyond its borders. Suggesting otherwise is 'laughable,' he notes, because the true irritant is ideological.

Venezuela’s Bolivarian model—imperfect and embattled as it is—represents a deviation from Washington’s preferred political order, a deviation the US has repeatedly sought to crush in Latin America for decades. For Mearsheimer, even if one entertained the fantasy of using force to change the regime, the idea collapses immediately under logistical absurdity and moral bankruptcy. Invading a nation of 28 million people, and then attempting to occupy and 'stabilize' it, would be catastrophic in cost, chaotic in outcome, and impossible to justify.

The national security pretext collapses further under the testimony of Sheriff David Hathaway, a former Drug Enforcement Administration supervisory agent with firsthand experience in Latin America. He dismisses the drug-trafficking narrative not just as false, but as deliberately false. Cocaine originates in Colombia and Peru, not Venezuela, and the US fentanyl crisis has nothing to do with Caracas."

-->Instead of printing stories about how foolish US warmongering really is, the NYT runs opinion pieces like "The Case for Overthrowing Maduro." Why, it's the empire's newspaper.

Mondoweiss:
"Last month, a top staffer at the Jewish organization J Street who had worked for Obama and Harris explained that Congress’s tradition of backing Israel 'no matter what' was imposed by a 'well-funded group of… Jews.'

'A small, organized and well-funded group of American Jews treated the issue as a threshold question in elections, and most candidates decided it wasn’t worth antagonizing them,' Ilan Goldenberg wrote. Not long ago, such attacks on the Israel lobby (including my own) were dismissed as antisemitic conspiracy theories. Now, a leading Jewish organization publishes them.

That’s because the American Jewish community is today in open crisis over its historic support for Israel. Prominent Jews are finally attacking the lobby, a political structure created 60 years ago by leading Jewish groups to make sure there was no daylight between the Israeli and U.S. governments."

-->This Sunday's NYT Opinions Section has finally gotten around to describing the world of hurt the Democrats have put themselves in by blindly supporting Israel's genocide. It's about time! But still the NYT talks about hiring smarter analysts, while avoiding the moral and human rights issues that have led America's youth to rebel. It's the genocide, stupid!

Common Dreams:
"Venture capitalist Joe Lonsdale, a co-founder of data platform company Palantir, is calling for the return of public hangings as part of a broader push to restore what he describes as 'masculine leadership' to the US.

In a statement posted on X Friday, Lonsdale said that he supported changing the so-called 'three strikes' anti-crime law to ensure that anyone who is convicted of three violent crimes gets publicly executed, rather than simply sent to prison for life.

'If I’m in charge later, we won’t just have a three strikes law,' he wrote. 'We will quickly try and hang men after three violent crimes. And yes, we will do it in public to deter others.' Lonsdale then added that 'our society needs balance,' and said that 'it’s time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable.' ”
https://www.commondreams.org/news/joe-lonsdale-public-hangings

-->Why no coverage of this story? I think it is because it exposes some of the monsters we have running our government. Perhaps Lonsdale would like to hang them himself, you know to give the whole thing a little more "masculine leadership." I think there should be a penalty for becoming a billionaire in a society where so many families can't afford to eat.

Common Dreams:
"A new assessment by the international wealth management giant UBS this week shows that the number of billionaires in the world has reached new heights and that the acceleration of inherited wealth represents a new chapter for the ultra-rich in the 21st Century.

The latest UBS Billionaire Ambitions Report, unveiled Thursday, details how just 2,919 individual billionaires have a combined wealth of $15.8 trillion. The number of billionaires in the world is up nearly 9 percent from the previous year. In the United States—where nearly a third of those on the list reside—924 billionaires hold a collective $6.9 trillion in wealth.

The assessment by UBS—which surveyed its own billionaire clients as part of the survey, now its eleventh edition—emphasizes a surge of inherited wealth among the billionaire class. According to the report."
https://www.commondreams.org/news/ubs-billionaires-report

-->A few business publications carried this story. But why not the NYT? Well, our newspaper of record spends its time defending the very wealthy in our society. The revolution just won't be "fit to print," whenever it appears on the horizon.

Common Dreams:
"Reports of Israeli authorities torturing Palestinian prisoners have been publicized for years, with freed detainees describing frequent beatings, attacks by dogs, and rape and sexual abuse, and the United Nations Committee Against Torture now says Palestinians have been victimized by a 'de facto state policy of organized and widespread torture.'

Both Palestinian and Israeli rights groups gave reports to the committee on conditions in Israeli detention centers, detailing Israel’s regular deprivation of food and water for detainees as well as the 'severe beatings,' electrocution, waterboarding. and sexual violence Israeli guards and other authorities perpetrate. ...

The de facto policy of torture in Israel’s has 'gravely intensified' since Israel began bombarding Gaza after a Hamas-led attack on October 7, 2023, the report found. Despite a ceasefire that was agreed to in October, those retaliatory attacks against the exclave are continuing and still constitute a genocide, Amnesty International said this week."
https://www.commondreams.org/news/torture-in-israel

-->Let's face it. Israel routinely tortures, rapes and murders Palestinian prisoners. Why can't our newspaper of record, The NYT, admit this as well?

=====

Amnesty:
"Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza continues unabated despite ceasefire. More than a month after a ceasefire was announced and all living Israeli hostages were released, Israeli authorities are still committing genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, by continuing to deliberately inflict conditions of life calculated to bring about their physical destruction, without signalling any change in   their intent, said Amnesty International today.

In a briefing released today, the organization provides a legal analysis of the ongoing genocide along with testimonies from local residents, medical staff and humanitarian workers highlighting the dire ongoing conditions for Palestinians in Gaza.

'The ceasefire risks creating a dangerous illusion that life in Gaza is returning to normal. But while Israeli authorities and forces have reduced the scale of their attacks and allowed limited amounts of humanitarian aid into Gaza, the world must not be fooled. Israel’s genocide is not over,' said Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International."
https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/news/2025/11/israels-genocide-against-palestinians-in-gaza-continues-unabated-despite-ceasefire/

-->Well maybe the genocide is over, if you depend on the NYT to get your news. Why wouldn't the NYT cover this story?

Common Dreams:
"A United Nations report claims that Israel’s assault on Gaza has led to 'the most severe economic crisis ever recorded,' with nearly seven decades’ worth of economic development wiped out over the span of two years.

The report, which was released on Monday by the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), found that all 2.3 million people in the exclave now live below the poverty line, with per-capita gross domestic product falling to just $161, one of the lowest figures in the world.

Lancet Study Shows Over 3 Million Years of Human Life Lost in Israeli Assault on Gaza
Additionally, the report found that the unemployment rate in Gaza was as high as 80%, while inflation in the exclave surged to nearly 240%, as the Israeli military blockade caused a widespread famine by preventing basic necessities from reaching Gaza residents."
https://www.commondreams.org/news/israel-gaza-economic-collapse

-->Why no NYT coverage of this UN and Lancet study of the economic ramifications of genocide? Our newspaper of record always errors on the side of Zionists.
