Common Dreams:
"As a cease-fire and hostage release deal was reportedly reached between Hamas and Israel on Wednesday, new polling made it clearer than ever that Vice President Kamala Harris' refusal to break with the Biden administration's position on Israel's relentless assault on Gaza had an impact on her support from voters, and contributed to millions of potential Democratic voters deciding to stay home on Election Day.

A YouGov poll backed by the Institute for Middle East Understanding (IMEU) Policy Project and released on Wednesday showed that among the 19 million people who voted for President Joe Biden in 2020 but did not vote in 2024, nearly a third named Israel's U.S.-backed war on Gaza as a top reason for staying home.

'The top reason those non-voters cited, above the economy at 24% and immigration at 11%, was Gaza: a full 29% cited the ongoing onslaught as the top reason they didn't cast a vote in 2024,' wrote Ryan Grim at Drop Site News, the first outlet to report the news."

-->This is a very big story. Being pro genocide hurt Kamala Harris more than any other issue. Why would our newspaper of record not report this story? Well, it looks bad for Israel, being a major reason why the Democratic Party lost the election.

Common Dreams:
"With a cease-fire deal between Hamas and Israel set to go into effect as soon as Sunday, Senator Bernie Sanders released a statement Friday saying that he's please the Israeli security cabinet has signed off on the agreement, but highlighted the approved deal 'is essentially the same agreement that Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu and his extremist government rejected in May of last year.'

'More than 10,000 people have died since that proposal was presented, and the suffering of the hostages and innocent people in Gaza only deepened,' he wrote.
On Wednesday, President Biden announced the breakthrough, saying 'this is the ceasefire agreement I introduced last spring.'

What's more, the independent senator from Vermont said that Americans must 'grapple with our role in this dark chapter.' The U.S. government, he said, 'allowed this mass atrocity to continue by providing an endless supply of weapons to Netanyahu and failing to exert meaningful leverage.' "

-->Their will be no "grappling with our role" in the NYT. The newspaper doesn't print much that Sanders says. But it is more than that. The NYT tries its best to blur the US role in this genocide. To do this effectively, the newspaper must leave opinions like this out.

The Nation:
"The Media Education Foundation’s 2016 film The Occupation of the American Mind is being hounded off of campuses and communities on charges of antisemitism. The documentary looks at the ways propaganda from Israel and the United States governments about the occupation of the Palestinian Territories shapes US media coverage.

Since October 7, 2023, we have seen how the US media has a separate set of rules when discussing the total war being waged on the civilians of Gaza. With more than 35,000 dead, an unprecedented number of child amputees, and over a million at risk for starvation, the urgency to decode media obfuscation of a genocide has never been greater. Much has been written about this, especially after were revealed The New York Times’ language constrictions that limit how writers should discuss the current attacks on Gaza.

That makes The Occupation of the American Mind and its trenchant media analysis a vital tool for understanding the current situation. That’s also why it’s been attacked by politicians and policed by college administrators and compared to Birth of a Nation and The Protocols of the Elders of Zion."

-->Yes, the NYT has worked especially hard on hiding Israel's genocide and the US full support of the mass murders.
