Common Dreams:
"Just as Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced new branding for the US military campaign in Latin America, now known as 'Operation Southern Spear,' the president of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, on Thursday offered a message of peace directly to the people of the United States as he warned against further conflict.

In an exchange with a CNN correspondent during a rally for the nation’s youth in Caracas, Maduro urged President Donald Trump not to prolong the region’s military engagement. Asked if he had a message for the people of the United States, Maduro said in Spanish: 'To unite for the peace of the continent. No more endless wars. No more unjust wars. No more Libya. No more Afghanistan' ...

He said that attacks on boats, which have now claimed the lives of at least 80 people, are part of President Donald Trump’s targeting of 'narco-terrorists.' However, the administration has produced no evidence proving the allegations against these individuals nor shared with the American people the legal basis for the extrajudicial killings that deprive victims of due process."

-->The mainstream media never calls into question the US threats and intimidation directed at Venezuela. The US media has only one point of view when it comes to US imperialism.

Common Dreams:
"Mexico this week led 59 United Nations member states in affirming their support for the International Criminal Court and—without mentioning US officials by name—decrying their sanctions against ICC judges in retaliation for efforts to prosecute Israeli leaders for alleged crimes against humanity in Gaza.

The Mexican mission to the UN delivered a letter reaffirming the 59 nations’ 'continued and unwavering support for the independence, impartiality, and integrity of the ICC,' the Hague-based tribunal that is the world’s only permanent court with jurisdiction to prosecute individuals for genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and aggression.

'We express our deep concern over recent measures sanctioning ICC officials, staff, and those cooperating with the court,' the letter continues. 'Such measures erode the international rule of law, constitute an unacceptable interference with judicial independence, undermine ongoing investigations, and threaten the global fight against impunity.' ”

-->The NYT didn't cover this latest criticism of US human rights. Again, the US is isolated in the world community.

Common Dreams:
"For years, there have been whispers that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who had ties to key officials in the US and foreign governments, was involved with Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad.

However, the Epstein/Mossad ties were often labeled by US corporate media as 'unfounded' (New York Times, 8/24/25), dismissed as a 'conspiracy theory' (New York Times, 7/16/25), or said to have been 'largely manufactured by paranoiacs and attention seekers and credulous believers' (New York Times, 9/9/25). Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has claimed that 'Epstein’s conduct, both the criminal and the merely despicable, had nothing whatsoever to do with the Mossad or the State of Israel.'

Drop Site‘s investigations into the Handala [a hacking group] have included six major stories since late September, four of which have centered around 'Epstein’s work on behalf of Israeli military interests, particularly as it relates to his role in the development of Israel’s cyber warfare industry.' ”

-->The NYT protecting Israel again. Our newspaper of record just doesn't want to hear the connection between Epstein and Israel.

Al Jazeera:
"Members of Irish football’s governing body have approved a resolution instructing its board to submit a formal motion to UEFA requesting the immediate suspension of Israel from European competitions, the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) said.

The resolution passed by the FAI members on Saturday cites violations by Israel’s Football Association of two provisions of UEFA statutes: its failure to implement and enforce an effective antiracism policy and the playing by Israeli clubs in occupied Palestinian territory without the consent of the Palestinian Football Association.

The resolution was backed by 74 votes, with seven opposed and two abstentions, the FAI said in a statement. ... The Irish resolution follows calls in September from the heads of the Turkish and Norwegian football governing bodies for Israel to be suspended from international competition."

-->The momentum keeps increasing. Israel will end up being ostracized by the whole world. And well it should be for slaughtering tens of thousands of children. But readers of th NYT will never know it, since the newspaper keeps stories like this under wraps.

The Times of Israel:
"Turkey announced Friday that it had issued arrest warrants for alleged genocide against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and 36 other senior officials in his government over the war in Gaza against Hamas.

The announcement was met with a firm rebuttal from Israel. Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said Israel 'firmly rejects, with contempt,' the charges, calling them 'the latest PR stunt by the tyrant (Turkish President Recep Tayyip) Erdogan.'

The Istanbul prosecutor’s office said in a statement that a total of 37 suspects were targeted by the arrest warrants, without providing a full list. They include Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, and IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir."

-->I don't see this story in the NYT. Why remind its pro Israel readers how isolated this apartheid state has become?

Adalah Justice Project:
"In a huge win for the Palestine movement and working class people, St. Louis City just became the largest city in the U.S. to pass a resolution to divest from corporations complicit in genocide and human rights violations.

In March, St. Louis residents came together to launch Not Another Nickel, a campaign to divest the city from militarism and genocide profiteering. The campaign quickly gained momentum among St. Louisans who have been suffering after decades of neglect and disinvestment from community infrastructure and services. Together, they demanded transparency, accountability, and a budget that serves people, not profiteers.

Their organizing paid off - this morning, the Board of Aldermen in St. Louis took a historic step and passed the Not Another Nickel resolution in a 10-1-3 vote.
The measure calls on the Board of Trustees of the Employees Retirement System of the City of St. Louis to divest from any companies that are complicit in or profit from human rights abuses, including genocide, occupation, apartheid, and systemic racism."

Middle East Monitor:
"More than 150 writers who contribute to the American newspaper The New York Times have announced a boycott of its opinion section in protest against what they described as 'biased coverage' of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the ongoing war on Gaza.

The writers called on The New York Times management to conduct “a review of anti-Palestinian bias and produce new editorial standards for Palestine coverage”.   They also demanded that 'The New York Times’ editorial board call for a US arms embargo on Israel.' "

In a joint letter, the writers said: 'Until The New York Times takes accountability for its biased coverage and commits to truthfully and ethically reporting on the US-Israeli war on Gaza, any putative ‘challenge’ to the newsroom or the editorial board in the form of a first-person essay is, in effect, permission to continue this malpractice.”

-->I love these petitions that are uncovering the bias of the NYT, this one created for writers for the very same newspaper.

The Times of Israel:
"With its popularity in the United States crashing, Israel is bankrolling what organizers say will be the largest campaign of its kind to bolster support among evangelical churches, until recently seen as an unshakable base of support for the Jewish state.

The Foreign Ministry has hired an American firm to run the campaign, with plans to spend as much as $4.1 million on marketing aimed at Christians across the Western part of the country, according to newly filed federal disclosures. The documents, filed last week under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, reveal that Show Faith by Works, LLC will execute what it bills as the 'largest Christian Church Geofencing Campaign in US history. ...'

The initiative is designed to reach churchgoers with digital ads that are explicitly 'pro-Israel and anti-Palestinian,' while dispatching a mobile 'October 7th Experience' exhibit to church parking lots and Christian colleges."
https://www.timesofisrael.com/israel-to-spend-up-to-4-1m-in-bid-to-bolster-support-among-christians-in-western-us/

->No mention of this story in the NYT. Why not? Again, we have to put this down as reticence to publishing articles critical of Israel.

TeleSUR:
"On Friday, Brazilian President Lula da Silva suggested that the United States should work together with Latin American countries to combat drug trafficking instead of attempting to invade them through military operations supposedly justified as anti-drug actions.

'Before judging anyone, before punishing anyone, you have to have proof. You can’t simply say you’re going to invade or that you’re going to fight drug trafficking in another country’s territory without taking into account that country’s constitution, the self-determination of its people, and the territorial sovereignty of each nation,' Lula said from Jakarta, the first stop on his tour of Southeast Asia."
https://www.telesurenglish.net/lula-urges-the-u-s-to-cooperate-against-drug-trafficking-instead-of-invading-countries/

-->Another missing story by the NYT. Our newspaper of record is always in favor of US military invasions. It's the Empire's newspaper.
